Program Description
The book trail location is at Garvan Woodland Gardens. Families are invited to stroll the scenic garden paths while exploring the picture book Cypress Knees and Tupelo Trees: Discovering Plants and Animals of the Swamp By award-winning author and illustrator Cathy Melvin.
Cypress Knees and Tupelo Trees: Discovering Plants and Animals of the Swamp is a 2024 Library of Congress Great Read and Arkansas Gem selection.
During June only, entry into the gardens is free for GCL cardholders. A children's membership is free with the purchase of any adult membership.
Meet the author herself at Garvan Gardens on June 1st at 1:30pm! Copies of the book will be available for signing.
