Eli Vega is a highly published and award-winning photographer and an author of two
photography books: Right Brain Photography (Be an artist first) and Renditions of Famous Paintings. He has photographed and hiked the Colorado mountains since he set foot on the Centennial State in 2002. One of the greatest challenges Eli gave himself while in Colorado was to hike Colorado’s famous “Fourteeners”—mountain peaks that are at least 14,000’ in elevation. He has taken six fourteener hikes! The highest fourteener he has hiked is Colorado’s highest peak, Mt. Elbert, at 14,443.’
Below are some life lessons Eli extracted, internalized, and which he was reminded when he hiked his fourteeners.
"Conquering a fourteener has many similarities to what it takes for us to navigate through life,
especially as it relates to achieving personal goals and resolutions. There are several phases of the hikes from which we can draw life analogies. The lessons that were relevant to my arduous personal achievements can be easily transferred to our everyday lives, both personal and work. In this presentation, I share some of those life lessons I learned from my respected masters—Colorado’s fourteeners."
