Park Chats: Ouachita Mountains History: The First 10,000 Years

Program Description
People have been living in the Ouachita Mountains region for hundreds of generations. To learn about that deep history, we need more than written records. In this talk, archeologist Dr. Mary Beth Trubitt will show what we can learn about the Native people who lived here using material traces – their tools, foods, and houses – still preserved at archeological sites.
This program is part of the collaborative series between Garland County Library and Hot Springs National Park, and can be attended in-person or watched via livestream on the Library’s YouTube channel at www.youtube.com/user/GarlandCoLibrary or the Garland County Library Facebook page.
