Join Master Gardeners Todd and Pepper Smith as they present on honeybees: Nature's tiny powerhouse. Honeybees are far more than producers of honey—they are essential pollinators, fascinating social insects, and an important part of a healthy ecosystem. This presentation explores the life of the honeybee, the unique jobs within the hive, how bees communicate, gather food, make honey, the challenges they face, and why protecting pollinators matters to all of us. Whether you are curious about bees, interested in starting a hive, or simply want to better understand these remarkable creatures, you’ll leave with a greater appreciation for the honeybee and their important connection to our everyday lives.
