Program Description

The library has partnered with Hot Springs Pet Therapy to offer an opportunity for kids ages 6 -12 to read aloud to a therapy dog. The non-judgmental presence of a temperament-tested dog and their handler helps boost reading confidence. Plus, it is a fun way to spend time reading at the library!

This program is on a first come first served basis. Check-in at the children’s desk for session availability starting 15 minutes before the program start time. Each session lasts 15 minutes. Parents must stay on library premises but are suggested not to be in the room while reading is conducted.
