Program Description

Please note: this program will be held at Union Missionary Baptist Church, located at 219 Gulpha Street in Hot Springs.

The Garland County Library in partnership with the Oaklawn Center on Aging is hosting another Lunch and Learn! This time, join the Hot Springs Police Department’s Overdose Response Team for a powerful and practical Narcan training session designed to save lives. This specialized team, made up of a Peer Recovery Specialist and an Overdose Investigator, brings both lived experience and professional expertise to the training.

This program will provide detailed instruction on how to recognize the signs of an opioid overdose, as well as step-by-step guidance on administering Narcan effectively, insights into local overdose trends, and resources for connecting individuals and families to recovery support.
