Program Description

The water that emerges in Hot Springs begins its journey in the mountains miles away and thousands of feet underground. While millions of people are drawn to drink, bathe, and touch the thermal water where it emerges from the ground inside of Hot Springs National Park, the source of the water and its underground journey is much less obvious. Join Ranger Cane West as he narrates the millennia-long water story of Hot Springs, introduces some of the recent water science research, and invites us all to help protect the recharge zone where the water begins.

This program is the second in a collaborative series between Garland County Library and Hot Springs National Park, and can be attended in-person or watched via livestream on the Library’s YouTube channel at www.youtube.com/user/GarlandCoLibrary or the Garland County Library Facebook page.
