Are you fascinated by the intricacies of criminal investigations, the psychology of perpetrators, and the chilling realities of true crime stories?
Join the library's True Crime Book Club for an exploration into the captivating and often unsettling world of real-life crimes. We'll delve into a variety of true crime narratives, from infamous cases and unsolved mysteries to in-depth investigations and survivor stories.
Part personal memoir and part investigative report, The Stranger Beside Me chronicles Ann Rule's surreal experience of writing a book about a string of unsolved murders, only to discover that the killer was her close friend and co-worker, Ted Bundy. We will dive into the psychological complexity of the "charismatic" serial killer and the ethical dilemmas Rule faced as a friend and a journalist.
True Crime Book Club meets the first Saturday every other month. Copies of each book club selection are available for checkout at the library.
