Program Description

Ready to explore new worlds and perspectives without leaving town?

Join the Have Book, Will Travel adult book club at the library! We're a friendly and enthusiastic group of readers who love to embark on literary adventures across a diverse landscape of genres and themes. From thrilling mysteries and thought-provoking historical fiction to heartwarming contemporary stories and insightful memoirs, our selections will take us on journeys both real and imagined.

Join us for a discussion of Harper Lee's classic To Kill a Mockingbird. Set in the racially charged American South during the 1930s, this Pulitzer Prize-winning novel follows young Scout Finch as she comes of age in the town of Maycomb, Alabama. Through her eyes, we witness her father, Atticus Finch, defend Tom Robinson—a Black man falsely accused of assaulting a white woman. The story explores themes of racial injustice, moral courage, and the loss of innocence.

Have Book, Will Travel meets the first Saturday every other month. Copies are available for checkout at the library.
