Join the Have Book, Will Travel adult book club at the library! We're a friendly and enthusiastic group of readers who love to embark on literary adventures across a broad landscape of genres and themes. 

Book Club Selection: Housekeeping by Marilynne Robinson (1980)

Set in the remote town of Fingerbone, Idaho, Marilynne Robinson’s debut novel Housekeeping follows young Ruth and her sister Lucille as they are raised by a succession of female relatives following their mother's suicide. When their eccentric, itinerant Aunt Sylvie arrives to take charge, the sisters face diverging paths: one gravitates toward social convention, while the other embraces Sylvie's transient, haunting relationship with the surrounding wilderness and loss.

Housekeeping is ranked among The Guardian's list of the 100 Best Novels Written in English.

Have Book, Will Travel meets the first Saturday every other month. Copies may be available for checkout at the library.
