Wonderful Wednesdays! Practical Strategies for Working with Special Needs Children

Program Description
Serving as a volunteer in Sunday School, summer camp or for workshops and special activities can be daunting when you have a child with ADHD, autism, or some other special need in the group. Working with any child requires focus and engagement and is worth the effort but taking time to gain some understanding and learn strategies for how to best serve children with special needs can improve the experience for both the child and the volunteer.
This program is presented by the Garland County Extension Service and the Garland County Extension Homemakers Council. Along with the subject topics, participants can learn more about the opportunities for community service, leadership development, life-long learning and all of the fun that being a member of EHC presents!
