Program Description
Greetings, all you boils, ghouls, and non-boo-nary folks! If you've ever wanted to dip your toe into the murky waters of horror movies but didn't know where to start, this program series is for you - though seasoned horror hounds are welcome as well, of course! Each week in October, we'll be showing a different landmark horror film along with a brief presentation about that movie and its place in the horror canon. Popcorn, snacks, and drinks will be provided!
This week, we're showing a movie that isn't *technically* the first slasher movie, but it's the one that really set the template for slashers that would be followed throughout the 80s. In the movie, an escaped mental patient grabs a mask and comes home to the sleepy town of Haddonfield, Illonois on the night of October 31st...
